Heterostinia immanis Schrammen, 1910Heterostinia immanis occurs as irregular, thick-walled, funnel- or dish-shaped specimens that may exceed 300 mm in width.
The example shown here is peculiar by having a round hole at its base, which is surrounded by several short roots.

Heterostinia obliqua Benett, 1831Heterostinia obliqua occurs as ear- or funnel-shaped structures similar to Heterostinia immanis, but differs from the latter by having thinner walls (6-10 mm) and by its generally smaller size.
